Tournament Dates
July 9-14, 2019 – Berkeley Hall Club, Bluffton, South Carolina

Entry Fee: $275.00

Course:
The 2019 Players Amateur will be contested on the South Course at Berkeley Hall Club. Click here for more information on the course and Berkeley Hall.

Access to Host Housing, Practice Facilities and Golf Course
Registration will begin at 8am on Tuesday July 9th. Host Housing, The Practice Facility and The Golf Course will NOT be available until Tuesday July 9th.

Host Housing
Again Host Housing will not be available until July 9th.  Anyone arriving early will need to book a hotel.  Host Housing is for Players first. Parents will then be considered and will receive priority over Caddies and Friends.  We make our best effort to house all Players but other guests cannot be guaranteed.

Dining Policy
You MUST wear your official tournament ID badge to all functions.  All parents, Caddies, friends and coaches MUST pay for the meals they eat.

Family/Guest Meal Plans are available – $100.00 per person ($330.00 value!)

The plan covers the following meals:
Breakfast: Tuesday – Sunday
Lunch: Tuesday – Sunday
Dinner:  Wednesday – Saturday

Plan does not cover TUESDAY night Dinner. It is for Players Only

You will receive a badge with your name on it that provides access to Player Dining. Badges will be distributed at player registration

Driving Range
Tuesday – Wednesday: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
Thursday – Sunday: 6:30 am to 6:00 pm

Airport Transportation
You must provide your own transportation to Berkeley Hall.  Taxis can be picked up outside the airport’s baggage claim or you can call the following companies:

Rides to the airport will be available at the conclusion of the tournament.

Mandatory Players Only Meeting
Players are required to attend a mandatory player only meeting on Tuesday July 9th at 7:30 pm during dinner.  Golf Attire (no jacket necessary)

Caddies
Players who requested caddies will be assigned one at registration.  Caddie Fees are $80 per round including gratuity and must be paid at registration or we cannot guarantee you a caddie.

USGA Men’s Amateur Qualifier
We also wanted to make you aware that a USGA Men’s Amateur qualifier will be taking place the Monday and Tuesday following our event just down the road at Colleton River July 15-16th.

Gratuities
Bag Drop, Locker Room and Bar Attendants are at your service. Any gratuities are at your discretion and are strongly encouraged.

Berkeley Hall Clubhouse Rules

Appropriate golf Attire is mandatory for all players and guests on the course and inside the clubhouse. Shirts with collars, turtlenecks or mock collars and sleeves must be worn at all times. Slacks or golf shorts must be worn.

No cargo shorts, tank tops, T-Shirts, cut-offs, denim pants, denim shorts, sweat pants, bathing suits, or other athletic shorts are permitted in the Clubhouse at anytime.

Hats must be worn with bill facing forward. Shirts must be tucked in at all times. Hats are not to be worn in the Clubhouse.

Smoking is not permitted prohibited inside any all Club facilities. The use of cell phones is prohibited throughout the Clubhouse, Spa & Fitness Center, Learning Center and golf courses. unless in vibrate mode. Cell phone use is specifically permitted in the locker rooms. Members or guests who make or receive calls in any other areas of the Clubhouse or Spa & Fitness Center must step outside immediately.

 

The legal age for alcohol consumption in South Carolina is 21. Anyone under 21 observed drinking alcohol or attempting to obtain alcohol on Berkeley Hall premises will be withdrawn from the Tournament and asked to leave the grounds. There will be no exceptions.

You must wear your official tournament photo ID badge to all functions and when using the Fitness and Sports Center.

Welcome to the Players Amateur and the Berkeley Hall Golf Club. The Players Amateur staff believes that you make up the best that amateur golf has to offer and that is why you have been invited to participate in the Players Amateur. With this invitation comes the responsible of representing the game of golf as well as your respected Universities or Country. In order to assure the conduct of all Contestants and guests, the Players Amateur will enforce a “Code of Conduct”. Furthermore, Contestants and Guests who fail to abide by the “Code of Conduct” are subject to disciplinary action which are include but not limited to the ejection from the field and removal from the tournament grounds immediately. Every Contestant and Guest must sign this agreement prior to participation in the tournament and any tournament related function.   Thank you for your attention to this matter and I look forward to a great week of golf.
