The Players Amateur Presented by Nautica distributed donations to five non-profits thanks to the success of tournament’s 2 Club. The 2 Club is made up of people who support the amateur golf tournament held each July at the Berkeley Hall Golf Club.
The following groups received donations:
Hospice of the Lowcountry
Bluffton Self Help
Bluffton Boys and Girls Club
Berkeley Hall Charitable Foundation
South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation
The 2 Club members pledged $2.00 for every two made during the 2014 Players Amateur. Contestants made a total of 135 twos during the four day competition. The 58 club members raised $18,000. Since its inception in 2013, the 2 Club has donated $43,000 to local charities.
Tournament Officials presented the checks to Hospice of the Lowcountry, Bluffton Self Help and Bluffton Boys and Girls Club on Monday, October 6th.
