Contestants made a total of 142 twos during the four day competition.  The 29 club members raised $6,736.  Since its inception in 2013, the 2 Club has donated more than $63,500 to local charities.

The following groups received donations in 2017.

Berkeley Hall Charitable Foundation
Heritage Classic Foundation
South Carolina Junior Golf Foundation

The Players Amateur is known as one of the premier amateur golf events in the United States. All participants compete for a sponsor’s exemption into the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing, South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR event. University of North Florida’s Phillip Knowles won the 2017 event in an exciting playoff finish.

Many Players Amateur past participants and champions have become successful on the professional level including 2017 RBC Heritage Champion Wesley Bryan. Brooks Koepka, Brian Harman, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Lucas Glover, Matt Kuchar, Justin Thomas, Camilo Villegas and Bill Haas are a few other well-known Players Amateur alumni to win on the PGA TOUR.

The Heritage Classic Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives throughout the state of South Carolina.
